Mission Statement
The mission of the Kempsville High School Counseling Department is to provide an equitable and comprehensive school counseling program to all students through the implementation of data-driven interventions. The school counseling program is designed to enhance students’ academic, career, and social/emotional development, thus equipping students to be independent, responsible, academically proficient, technically and globally literate critical and creative thinkers.

- Proof of residency: lease/mortgage and a utility bill (gas, electric, or water)
- The student you are enrolling
- Transcripts
- Shot records

Parchment Transcript Ordering
Current students may request a transcript free of charge through Parchment.
Students who graduated between 2016 and 2020 may also request their transcript through Parchment for $5. All transcript requests are processed Monday and Wednesday (except for holidays and during school closures).

Access College Info
The ACCESS adviser at Kempsville is Dylan Altman. Normal office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am until 2:30 pm, in the Counseling office. I am reachable after hours. You may contact Mr. Altman by phone at 648.5600 x58195 or email anytime and I will get back to you promptly.

Parent/Teacher Conference Sign-ups
Kempsville High School hosts an opportunity to meet with your student's teachers all at the same time twice a month. Seating is limited, so it is imperative that you sign up in advance. There will not be registration on the day of the event.

Has your family moved? Have any of your phone numbers changed?
Please be sure and update this information with the School Counseling Office before the end of school! Many important pieces of information are sent home to students over the summer. If we do not have your new information on file, you will be missing out on report cards, test scores, back-to-school information, etc.
